TRAINING ON HEALTH TOURISM
Training on Health Tourism is open to all candidates who want to improve themselves in this field. The main aim of this program is to develop the basic knowledge and skills of candidates who work and would like to work in international patient departments and intermediary institutions. The program will last 72 hours and consists of 6 modules.
The program will be opened every month according to demand, both as distance education (online) and formal education (face-to-face).
Details of the program, detailed information about the members of faculty who will provide the training (their curriculum vitae), the physical structure of the training institution and classroom environments are presented below. The lecturers who will take part in the program as instructors are experts in their fields. A very broad perspective training program has been developed in which the Department of Health Management of Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Tourism of Faculty of Commercial Sciences, Department of Business Administration of Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Departments of Family Medicine and Forensic Medicine of Faculty of Medicine will contribute to the program. It is also planned to host guest lecturers from the public sector to this program.

COURSE CONTENTS OF THE TRAINING PROGRAM ON HEALTH TOURISM
1. Scope, Types and Current Trends in Health Tourism
In this module, the definition, history and content of health tourism in general will be explained. Types of health tourism; medical tourism, wellness & SPA, geriatric and barrier-free tourism concepts will be explained. In addition, international patient movements will be examined. Basic concepts and structures of the medical terminology will be explained.
2. Health Tourism Business Management and Entrepreneurship
In this module, the basic concepts and principles of health management will be explained. In addition, international patient relationship management, international patient communication, international patient services organization will be explained in detail. Within the scope of the course, basic information about quality and patient safety, corporate social responsibility and reputation and crisis management will be shared.
3. Health Tourism Policies and Practices in Turkey and the World
In this module, health tourism policies and practices in Turkey and the world will be explained and health tourism support and incentives in Turkey will be explained.
4. Health Tourism Strategy and Marketing
In this module, strategic planning, marketing management, international competition strategies, management of relations with intermediary organizations, international accreditation in health tourism will be explained. Patient satisfaction and evaluation will be discussed, and cost, service package creation and pricing strategies in health services will also be discussed.
5. Use of Information Technologies (IT) in Health Tourism
In this module, website configuration, social media usage, search engine optimization and effective promotion with Google services will be explained for the use of information technologies in health tourism.
6. International Health Law
In this module, health law, patient rights and malpractice issues and ethical approaches in health tourism will be explained.
HEALTH TOURISM TRAINING PROGRAM EVALUATION
Success evaluation in the Training on Health Tourism Certificate Program will be made through an exam covering all courses to be held at the end of the program. Participants who score 60 points and above in the exam at the end of the program will be considered successful and will be entitled to receive a certificate.
