Information related to the Law on the Protection of Personal Data(PPD)
As Başkent University, we care about your personal data. In this context, we present to your information the announcement text about the Law on the Protection of Personal Data and numbered 6698, which is regulated to protect especially the privacy of private life and the fundamental rights and freedoms and personal data of all our customers no matter which of our products and services they use.
In accordance with the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698, as Başkent University, as the data controller, your personal data will be processed as explained below; and where permitted by the legislation, can be transferred to third parties.
The Purposes and legal reasons for processing personal data:
Within the scope of Law No. 6493 and other legislation, as an electronic money institution to be used in all kinds of products and services offered; to record the identity, address and other necessary information to identify the owner the transaction; to arrange all the records and documents that will be the basis of the processing in electronic or paper environment; To comply with the information storage, reporting and informing obligations stipulated by the legislation, BRSA, CBRT and other authorities; to provide the requested other products/services of our organization and to fulfill the requirements of the contract you have concluded.
Persons/organizations personal data can be transferred to for the purposes stated above:
The persons or organizations permitted by Law No. 6493 and other legislation; Including but not limited to these, the financial institutions and other third parties listed in the Law No. 6493; BRSA, CMB, CBRT and all public entities including these but not limited to them; our main shareholder, direct/indirect domestic/foreign affiliates; in order to carry out our electronic money issuance activities, our program partner organizations, domestic /international business partners, businesses from which we receive services and including but not limited to the all other third parties and all official authorities.
Method of collecting personal data:
Your personal data can be collected verbally, in writing or electronically through channels such as Head Office, Branches, Representatives, kiosks, ATMs, internet branch and call center.
User rights in accordance with Article 11 of the Law No. 6698, on the Protection of Personal Data: By applying to our organization, you can;
a) learn whether your personal data has been processed or not,
b) ,if processed, request information
c) learn the purpose of processing and whether they have been used appropriately,
ç) know the third persons to whom they have been transferred at home or abroad,
d) request correction if it is incomplete/incorrectly processed,
e) request deletion/destruction within the framework of the conditions stipulated in Article 7 of the KVKK,
f) request the third parties, to whom they are transferred, to be notified of the transactions carried out in accordance with the above mentioned subparagraphs (d) and (e),
g) object to the emergence of a situation against you because it has been analyzed exclusively by automated systems,
ğ) have the right to demand compensation of damage, in case you suffer damage due to unlawful processing.
