The Objective of the Program:
To establish the theoretical background about the structural equation modeling, with the AMOS package program and via the sample data files, to teach the structural equation modeling applications through one-on-one practices; to show how to report the data obtained as a result of the analyses to the methodology and findings part of the thesis/article.
Who Can Participate: Academics and graduate students working in the field of social sciences.
Certificate: A certificate is awarded to participants who meet the attendance requirements and become successful in the exam at the end of the program.
Duration of Training: 12 hours
Trainer: Dr. Lecturer Erkan Yıldız
Content of the Training:
- Theoretical background (concept of structural equation, application areas, advantages, observed and latent variables, exogenous and endogenous variables),
- Introduction to AMOS program (AMOS graphic window, graphic menus, graphic application),
- Measurement and creation of structural model,
- Confirmatory factor analysis (Single factor, first level unrelated, first level correlated, second level),
- Model fit values and model modification,
- Structural equation modeling,
- Mediation effect,
- Group analysis,
- Examples related to reporting the analysis results to thesis/article and interpretation.
Each analysis will be carried out three times with different data sets, the first of which will be done by the trainer and the others by the participants. At the end of the program, with a different data set, a model that includes all the analyses will be tested to see whether the training has reached its purpose or not.
The trial version of the AMOS program must be installed on the participants’ computers. The training video on the content of the program can be watched at http://yildizerkan.com.
