As a friendly institution to the nature and animals since its establishment, Başkent University, which has been involved in many social aid activities, has added a new one to these activities. Başkent University Center for Education and Counseling Services provided 1 ton of food to 500 stray dogs in Karşıyaka Canları Animal Shelter in Etlik Ovacık Neighborhood of Ankara.
BEDAM Director Prof. Dr. Ali Halıcı said; “We are happy to help our street dogs. We would like to share our feelings that the happiness and peace which we have experienced while feeding our animals is priceless. We would also like to thank BEDAM staff and sister Nuriye and Uncle Celal, who have been volunteers at Karşıyaka Canları animal shelter. The little help that anyone can give may be enough to change the position of stray animals between death and life. Thanks to this charity activity, you can both make yourself and them happy by having a pleasant time with our friends. BEDAM will continue to hold its first rank in the training and consultancy activities in Turkey, as well as in its social responsibility projects.”
